Former El Pasoan's plant-based salsas, Zubi's, to be carried in Sprouts nationally

 

Entrepreneur Sarah Zubiate is excited to share that her family's generations-old salsa will be carried in Sprouts stores, including in her native El Paso.

Zubiate, who now lives in the Dallas area, is proud to have grown in the Lower Valley, where her parents still reside, and to make a name for herself with ingredients she loves.

"This right here is my mother's original salsa. I just added more cilantro, and a lot more lime and garlic — the ingredients that give you more dense, nutritional value," she said, sitting outside at a Sprouts patio table last week.

Zubiate originally sold her salsa in containers at the Dallas Farmers Market and out of the back of her trunk. Now she is the proud chief executive officer and founder of Zubi's, a line of three plant-based dip products: salsa, crema de jalapeño and a dairy-free queso.

Zubi's Signature Salsa and Crema de Jalapeño will be carried in more than 370 Sprouts locations across the country, including the three in El Paso. The products should be available for purchase in El Paso by the end of the week.
