Hello & welcome to my home at ZUBI Farms! To get in the spirit of the season I’d like to take you for a bit of an introductory tour around ZUBI Farms and share our products and recipes with you that are just right for this season of gratitude and giving and when our sweet mini sweet peppers are in full harvest.

It’s Harvest, which is my favorite time of year. The sometimes-unforgiving Texas heat on our ZUBI Farms begins to wane around this time of year. The trees on the property don't begin to change until late October but by late November, they are a much closer match in color to our Texas sunsets. Here in east Texas, the terrain is different than my home city of the beautiful wild west, El Paso.

Here on the ZUBI Farms, we are in the Post Oak Savannah Plains where we have rivers, immense topographical variety including hills, pine trees, oaks, maple trees, cedars and let's not forget the well-drained soil for wonderous farming and food. This historic oak belt acts as the transitioning land between the baren prairielands to the west and the piney woods to the east which makes a haven for our endangered, indigenous and exotic animals as well. We have separate pastures on our property that allow them to create a beautiful home amongst the hills and wooded areas. Our lives, food, and memories reflect the vibrance of our sunsets: glorious, nature-filled, and full of love.

Our Farm consistently returns plentiful harvests from our dedication, hard work, time, effort and gratitude. Corn, Beets, Peppers, Garlic and Broccoli and Kale are some of the few things that are growing in plenty this time of year in East Texas. I was inspired to share our savory street corn recipe with you today while picking food. I grew up with ‘elote (corn) in a cup’ over in El Paso & Juarez. It was served on many street corners and when I prepare this meal today, for whatever reasons that exist, I feel at home. And this time of year is to celebrate that- Home.
