Zubiates Famous Ribs

Prep Time: 15-20 min Cook Time: 1 hour

  • 2 racks of ribs
  • 2 tablespoons creole seasoning, we like @tonychacheres
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 5 tbsps @zubiatescocina salsa
  • Zubi Rib Sauce

{Zubi Rib Sauce Recipe: 2 cups of low sugar ketchup, 16 oz organic applesauce, 3 tbsps @leaandperrins Worcesterchire sauce, 1 tub mild/medium salsa, 1 large mashed banana, 2 oz local honey, 2 oz coconut aminos, 1 tbsp ground pepper, 1 tbsp paprika, 2 tbsps red pepper flakes, 2 racks of ribs  combine all ingredients in a pot, mix to combine & simmer on low while the ribs are baking}.

    1. Preheat oven to 350. Remove membrane from the bottom of the rack of ribs. To do so, begin by pulling the membrane away starting from the narrower side of the rack.
    2. Next, combine 5 tablespoons of the salsa (from the whole tub needed), 2 tablespoons of paprika and 2 tablespoons creole seasoning over a large sheet of foil on a baking sheet.
    3. Place the ribs over the seasonings and close the foil over the ribs to try to create a small tent.
    4. Place ribs in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 1 hour.
    5. Meanwhile, combine all the ingredients for the “Zubi Rib Sauce” in a small saucepan to simmer on low flame while the ribs cook.
    6. When the hour is up, take ribs out of the oven and baste them with the Zubi Rib Sauce that was simmering on the stove.
    7. Broil the ribs (with no foil) for about 20 minutes and enjoy! This can also be done on the BBQ.
